Wyndham Hotel Group has continued its rapid expansion in South Korea with the opening of a pair of new Ramada Encore hotels in South Korea.
Located in the cities of Seoul and Pyeongtaek, the new hotels are primarily targeted at business travellers.
The 12-storey, 228-room Ramada Encore Seoul Magok is convenient for Gimpo International Airport, while the 302-room Ramada Encore Pyeongtaek offers views of Seohae Grand Bridge in Gyeonggi province. Both properties feature restaurants and meeting rooms.
“South Korea has long been a country of focus to expand our brands through franchise opportunities thanks to its innovative economy, highly industrialised cities and sought-after destinations,” said Barry Robinson, Wyndham’s president & managing director for Southeast Asia & Pacific Rim.
“Our Ramada Encore brand provides convenience for business-related conferences and events with its modern and ergonomically designed business hubs, and is perfectly suited for the emerging midscale market.”
Wyndham now has 23 hotels representing 5,218 rooms across South Korea, located in Seoul, Incheon, Gangwon, Gunsan and Jeju Island. All operate under the Ramada and Days Inn brands.
