World Travel and Tourism Council announces final slate for 24th Global Summit
Former US secretary of state John Kerry and conservationist Robert Irwin lead the list of luminaries at the event
The World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) announced its full line-up for its 24th Global Summit in Perth, Western Australia which is slated for the 8th to 10th October 2024.
John Kerry, the 68th secretary of state of the United States, and conservationist Robert Irwin are among those gracing the event.
During a fireside chat with WTTC president and CEO Julia Simpson Kerry shares his insights in navigating the international political landscape, forging strong alliances, and facilitating international cooperation for a more resilient and sustainable future.
Irwin, on the other hand, is the son of iconic conservation personality Steve Irwin, and will share unforgettable stories from his adventures in the wild, and how travel and tourism can play a vital role in creating a future where nature is enjoyed while being protected and celebrated.
A stellar lineup
Industry trailblazers from across the globe will come together in the West Australian capital to continue efforts for a safer, more resilient, inclusive, and sustainable future in Travel & Tourism.
Other speakers include Di Bain, chair, Tourism Western Australia; Audrey Hendley, resident, American Express Travel; Matt Goldberg, president and group CEO, Tripadvisor; Jane Sun, group CEO, Trip.com; Frank Marini, president and CEO, Railbookers Group; Jason Waters, CEO, Perth Airport; Kelly Craighead, president & CEO, CLIA; Francis Gatare, CEO of the Rwanda Development Board; and Christie Travers-Smith, Google’s head of EMEA retail and travel partnerships.
The global tourism body is also delighted to announce that alongside Julia Simpson and WTTC chair Greg O’Hara, Western Australia premier Roger Cook MLA, will open the Global Summit.
