“World of Winners” air ticket giveaway campaign launches in Tokyo
The “World of Winners” air ticket giveaway campaign, sponsored by Airport Authority Hong Kong (AAHK), was kicked off in Japan with a two-day promotional event in Tokyo, promoting over 38,000 free tickets for Japanese residents to visit Hong Kong. The economy-class, round-trip air tickets cover travel originating in eight Japanese cities, including Tokyo (Haneda Airport and Narita Airport), Osaka, Fukuoka, Sapporo, Nagoya, Kagoshima, Okinawa and Takamatsu.
Created in support of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government’s “Hello Hong Kong” promotional campaign, “World of Winners” aims to welcome visitors back to the city and to support the post-pandemic recovery of Hong Kong’s aviation industry. AAHK bought a total of 500,000 tickets from three Hong Kong-based carriers for the worldwide promotions.
The launch event in downtown Tokyo was officiated by representatives from AAHK, home-based carriers and Hong Kong Tourism Board. Thousands of local residents attended the event, which featured Hong Kong’s local food and activities. At the event 500 free air tickets to Hong Kong were given away to participants.
Earlier, AAHK hosted a media event in Tokyo to introduce the “World of Winners” campaign to over 30 Japanese media organisations. AAHK also updated the Japanese media on the new services and facilities at Hong Kong International Airport, as well as its long term development plans.
