Wellness at Whichaway: White Desert launches new wellness facilities
White Desert is excited to announce the planned addition of a ‘Wellness Dome’ to enhance the wellness offerings at their Whichaway Camp.
This new feature will be situated overlooking the frozen lake and glacial ice fall, providing an immersive experience with expansive clear windows that showcase the breathtaking natural landscape of Antarctica. Guests will have the opportunity to participate in group activities or enjoy the space on a solitary basis, allowing for a deeper connection with themselves and the earth.
This dome will complement Whichaway’s existing sauna, and offer a truly unique and holistic approach to wellness in the harsh yet extraordinary environment that is Antarctica. To further enrich this wellness offering, White Desert will have a biokineticist on site to help guests align their bodies after their adventures outside of the camp.
Additionally, a dedicated instructor will be available to guide guests through breathwork and meditation, nurturing both mind and soul in this incredible natural setting. The wellness dome is currently being designed and constructed close by to White Desert’s Headquarters in Cape Town and will be ready for the start of the next season in December 2024.
Whichaway Camp is uniquely positioned to provide an idyllic location for this wellness space. Located in this tranquil corner of Antarctica, it offers a sense of secluded peacefulness, making guests feel as though they are the only people on the planet, lonely yet mesmerising. The camp’s location on an ice field oasis, combined with the stunning ice formations, vibrant colours, and serene glacier views, provides an ideal backdrop for connecting with the earth and experiencing true wellness amidst nature’s wonders.
Whichaway Camp is the perfect place to experience wellness due to its serene Antarctic setting, offering unparalleled calmness and stunning natural beauty, ideal for relaxation and rejuvenation.
