Wannasingh Prasertkul to speak at Extraordinary Travel Festival
The Thai documentary filmmaker is set to share his thoughts on travelling the globe
The organisers behind the Extraordinary Travel Festival (ETF) announced that Thai filmmaker Wannasingh Prasertkul joins its lineup of speakers for this year.
Prasertkul, a renowned documentary director, environmental activist, and intrepid traveller, will speak on The Quest For Meaning: Around The World To Find My Way Home.
In his keynote speech, Prasertkul shares his perspectives on his trips which have taken him to challenging locations, including Afghanistan, Iraq, Somalia, and Ukraine.
A festival for intrepid travellers
Slated for 15 to 17 November in Bangkok, the ETF plans to feature over 25 speakers who will engage, inform, and inspire their fellow attendees through a combination of keynotes, breakout sessions, and panels.
According to festival founder, travel photographer, and filmmaker Ric Gasarian: “Imagine the world’s modern-day Marco Polos gathered in a single location. The energy, enthusiasm and vast knowledge exchanged about travel and country-collecting at the first event was like nothing I’ve seen before.”
Gazarian explained that the ETF was created to strengthen this incredible community of mega-travelers by bringing them together in one place.
This enables them to share strategies for advising and inspiring the travel fans who follow them online.
Gazarian added: “Many of us explore the world as solo travelers, but we are far from alone in wanting to spread the word about the eye-opening power of going further in our travels, farther, and more often.”
The ETF is building on the tremendous success of the first event, where 100 percent of attendees responded that they would recommend that their friends join the next event. Over 200 travelers from around the world will be joining the event in Bangkok.
