Vistara celebrated the festive season with 400 children of Salaam Balak Trust, a non-profit and non-governmental organization that provides a caring environment to street children. Vistara donned on the Santa cap and organised a special day for the wonderful children of the Trust at their Delhi and Gurugram centres, with great fun and frolic and shared moments to cherish forever.
The airline’s team of employees, including cabin crew, and the children together enjoyed a day full of carol singing, dance, Christmas cake-cutting and Santa Claus’ appearance. On this merry occasion, Vistara gifted goodie bags to all 400 children at the two centres that included winter caps, mufflers, sling bags, sippers and the children’s favourite stationery, as well as bicycles to both centres of the trust.
Ms. Rashmi Soni, head of Corporate Communications & CSR, at Vistara said, “There is no greater happiness than being the reason behind a smile on a child. Our association with the children of Salaam Baalak Trust dates back to the very first flight that Vistara operated, and it has always been a pleasure to be amidst these beautiful children since. They deserve all the happiness and success in the world, and we will continue to support them in giving wings to their dreams.”
Vistara began their annual involvement in 2015, with a special flight from Delhi to Mumbai hosting a group of children from Salaam Baalak Trust along with other dignitaries to create a most memorable flight and experience for both, Vistara and the children.
