Vistara has announced plans to launch a series of new connections to India’s Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
The carrier already operates flights from Kolkata to the islands’ capital, Port Blair, with services continuing on between Kolkata and Delhi. And from 26 March 2017, travellers in Pune will be offered a new one-stop service to Port Blair following the launch of new flights between the Maharashtra city and Kolkata. The Pune-Kolkata route will operate every day.
And Vistara’s island connectivity will be further enhanced on 15 April 2017, with the start of new direct weekend flights between Delhi and Port Blair. Services will run every Saturday and Sunday.
“The new direct flights between Delhi and Port Blair will let customers get away for weekend breaks or indeed spend an entire week in the spectacular beauty of the Andamans,” Vistara said in a statement.
“For those planning shorter trips, Vistara will continue to offer a daily same-aircraft service from Port Blair to Delhi via Kolkata. The new flights are also suitably timed to allow foreign tourists to fly to the Andamans direct through a convenient same-terminal connection in Delhi’s Terminal 3.”
These new flights are in addition to Vistara’s recently announced services to Amritsar from both Delhi and Mumbai, and to Leh from Delhi, both of which start in March.
