Central Vietnam’s new world-class integrated resort HOIANA today announced that the ground-breaking for its championship golf course and country club will be held on 13 November 2017.
The course on the outskirts of the UNESCO World Heritage port of Hoi An is being styled by celebrated golf course architect Robert Trent Jones II to “pay homage to the traditional links courses of yesteryear”.
Featuring fairways and greens with b ocean views over the distant Cham Islands, the layout is specifically designed to host major tournaments. “The topography and landscape is reminiscent of the traditional links courses of Scotland and Ireland, and will provide one of the most enjoyable tests of golf anywhere in the world,” he said.
“It covers some of the most precious coastline property with mesmerising views. The design will be unique and utilise the characteristics of the landscape to enchant golfers from around the world.”, Trent Jones added
Incorporating a 5-star clubhouse and state-of-the-art practice facilities along with luxury residences and high profile country club, the facility is expected to become one of Asia’s most pre-eminent golf and leisure destinations.
The signature course is scheduled to open in 2019, on opening of the first phase of the new US$4 billion mega-resort.
