Vietnam Airlines announces nonstop direct flights to Milan
The service takes off in June 2025
Vietnam Airlines announced that a new thrice-weekly service between Hanoi and Milan takes off on 1st July 2025.
Operated using the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, the nonstop flight officially becomes Vietnam Airlines’ ninth route into Europe. The airlines also stated that an additional route to Milan, this one flying out of Ho Chi Minh City, will be made available in the future.
The Hanoi to Milan service will not only cater to travellers from Italy but also attract passengers from other European countries.
This new launch signifies Vietnam Airlines’ commitment to expanding its global network, offering greater flexibility to passengers, but more importantly, fostering economic, social, and political ties between Vietnam and Italy, as well as between Vietnam, Europe and beyond.
Currently, the Vietnamese flag-carrier is the only airline in the country flying out of Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to Europe’s key cities Paris, Frankfurt, and London. This lineup of destinations is slated to be augmented in October of this year with the addition of Munich to the Vietnam Airlines network.
