Vietjet boosts connectivity to Vietnam’s beach hotspots for summer travellers
As the peak summer season approaches, Vietjet is enhancing travel options for beach enthusiasts by increasing flights to Vietnam’s top coastal destinations, Nha Trang and Phu Quoc, while further extending its international reach.
Vietjet has launched its first-ever flights connecting Phu Quoc, Vietnam’s beach paradise, with Taiwanese cities, Kaohsiung and Taichung. The Phu Quoc-Taichung route began operations on 13 June, offering three return flights per week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. The Phu Quoc-Kaohsiung service followed a day later, with four round trips weekly on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. With these additions, Vietjet is now the sole airline providing non-stop flights between Phu Quoc and Taiwan’s three largest cities – Taipei, Kaohsiung, and Taichung – totalling nine Vietnam-Taiwan services.
Simultaneously, Vietjet has increased the frequency of its direct route linking Phu Quoc and Seoul (Incheon International Airport) from two to three return flights daily from 14 June. Starting 19 July, the airline will also double its flight frequency between Nha Trang and Busan from one to two round trips daily. This expansion means Vietjet now offers up to 21 return flights a day, equating to 147 return flights weekly, between Vietnam and South Korea.
These expansions cater to the rising demand from travellers drawn to Vietnam’s stunning beaches, rich cultural heritage, and culinary delights. Vietjet currently operates eleven direct services connecting Ho Chi Minh City, Ha Noi, Da Nang, Nha Trang, Phu Quoc, and Hai Phong with Seoul and Busan.
In addition to increasing its flight frequencies, Vietjet has recently added 1.4 million seats to its domestic flight network and launched several new international routes.
To celebrate these expansions, Vietjet is offering a major promotion every Friday until the end of the year. Passengers can book international flight tickets on the website or via the Vietjet Air mobile app, with fares starting from just SGD 80 (USD60)/one-way (including taxes and fees). All Vietjet passengers will receive complimentary SkyCare travel insurance, covering a wide range of benefits, and 24/7 global medical and travel support services.
Singaporean travellers can conveniently fly to Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, and Da Nang with Vietjet, and from these vibrant Vietnamese cities, they can easily extend their travels both locally and internationally. From Ho Chi Minh City or Hanoi, travelers can hop on domestic Vietjet flights to the stunning coastal destinations of Phu Quoc and Nha Trang. For those looking to explore further afield, Vietjet offers seamless connections from these gateway cities to Seoul and Busan, making it effortless for Singaporeans to experience the diverse beauty and rich cultural landscapes of Vietnam and beyond.
Phu Quoc, located off Vietnam’s southwest coast, is renowned for its year-round mild climate, crystal-clear turquoise waters, and long white-sand beaches, along with world-class resorts. International travellers can also enjoy Vietnam’s visa exemption scheme, allowing a stay of up to 30 days on the island. Situated along the coastline in Vietnam’s South Central region, Nha Trang has attracted a growing number of tourists, including South Korea’s A-list celebrities. The city offers a mix of cultural attractions, recreational activities, and delicious seafood, making it a favourite destination for both local and international travellers.
With these enhancements, Vietjet solidifies its position as a leading airline, providing joyful and affordable connectivity with a modern, eco-friendly fleet and excellent services from a dedicated and professional cabin crew. Passengers can savour gourmet Vietnamese and international cuisine, exclusive duty-free shopping and a range of convenient products throughout their journey.
