TripAdvisor has partnered with Deliveroo, the food delivery service, to allow its users to place orders with restaurants and have meals delivered to their accommodation.
Integrating Deliveroo’s restaurant network into the TripAdvisor website and mobile app, travellers will be able to browse through the travel site’s restaurant listings and then click a button to order dishes. They will then be taken to the Deliveroo website to complete the order.
Initially available in 12 countries across Asia, the Middle East and Europe, users will be able to order from 20,000 of Deliveroo’s restaurant partners in more than 140 cities.
“Through this partnership with Deliveroo, we aim to give our restaurant listings a new way to engage with the TripAdvisor community – both at home and on-the-go. TripAdvisor is already a highly effective marketing platform for restaurants, and new services like food delivery create incremental value for both businesses as well as consumers,” said Bertrand Jelensperger, senior vice president of TripAdvisor Restaurants.
“Whether reading reviews, reserving a table through TheFork or placing a food order through Deliveroo, our goal is for TripAdvisor to serve as a one-stop-shop for diners around the world.”
The TripAdvisor-Deliveroo food delivery service is now available in the UK, Ireland, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Belgium, the Netherlands, UAE, Singapore, Hong Kong and Australia.
