Top US States competing for the title of Nightlife City
A study conducted by BlackoutVapors.com identified the best US States for nightlife. Tripadvisor and Yelp were used to provide information on the number of nightlife establishments, including gay clubs, hookah bars, cabarets, and more, in each state. Additionally, the study includes details on the price of a single cocktail in each state.
Texas tops the list of best US States for nightlife with more than 1K nightclubs and bars. The average price of one cocktail in this state is approximately $14. Texas also has the highest number of cabarets, strip clubs, and gay clubs on the list.
New York is the second choice for nightlife offering 800 bars and clubs. This state has the highest price for a single cocktail and is home to the third-highest number of hookah bars. Ohio takes the third spot on the list of the best US States for nightlife with 757 bars and clubs around the state. The price for a single cocktail is the second cheapest, $11. Ohio is known for its LGBTQ+ inclusivity, with a significant presence of gay clubs available to the community.North Carolina is the fourth on the list with 549 available bars and clubs. In addition, it provides a wide range of strip clubs, surpassing those found in Ohio. The price of a single cocktail in this state is $13.
Arizona is the fifth-best US state for nightlife with 457 bars and clubs. The price of one cocktail in this state is the same as in North Carolina, and the quantity of Hookah establishments is nearly identical as well.
Colorado comes next, with just 20 fewer bars and clubs than Arizona, however, cocktails cost more in Colorado. The number of gay clubs is similar to North Carolina, making this state one of the most LGBTQ+ friendly on the list.
Iowa takes seventh place on the list with 395 bars and clubs. Iowa offers one of the most affordable single cocktail prices among the states listed, at just $10.
Massachusetts is the eighth best nightlife State in the US with 333 bars and clubs. This state has the second-highest cocktail prices, with New York being the only state that surpasses it.
Maryland is the ninth on the list with 252 nightlife establishments. Despite having fewer strip clubs and gay clubs to offer, it holds the top position on the list with 120 hookah places.
Nebraska closes the list with 239 bars and clubs. The price for a single cocktail is only $9 in this state, which is almost half of the cocktail prices in New York.
