The St. Regis Venice presents new afternoon tea experience in collaboration with Ginori 1735
The St. Regis brand is characterised by its unique historical heritage and strong traditions that guests at over fifty St. Regis hotels around the world can experience through elegant and timeless rituals, including the fascinating tradition of afternoon tea that each hotel interprets in an original and distinctive way.
Favoured by many luminaries of the late 19th century, including the influential Caroline Astor who was considered the queen of New York high society, afternoon tea was an unmissable opportunity to get together with friends before the famous and sumptuous gala evenings that Mrs Astor organised in the salons of The St. Regis New York. Nowadays, the afternoon tea ritual remains a tradition of the brand, offering an impeccable selection of teas and fine bites in an intimate and inviting setting.
The St. Regis Venice presents its own version of the afternoon tea ritual as an avant-garde experience that blends the refined traits of high-end design with the fresher and more pungent ones of the street culture. By collaborating with Ginori 1735, an Italian firm distinguished by excellence in the luxury sector and in the porcelain design, the hotel further enhances its Art of Tea offering and invites guests to experience exclusive porcelain sets from the Off-White™ c/o Ginori 1735 and Oriente Italiano collections.
The black and white Off-White™ c/o Ginori 1735 collection and the vibrant Oriente Italiano pieces bring to mind the hotel’s interior palette and the play of light over Venice, beautifully complementing each other. The collections draw on the elegance of the iconic Antico Doccia designs as well as incorporating a delicate carnation pattern typical of Faenza ceramics and inspired by a mythical oriental garden with its explosion of colour. The intense yellow of the twilight reflected on the Grand Canal during the Golden Hour, the pink and teal of the romantic sunsets over the lagoon and fuchsia along with the intense blue of the sweetest sunrises of the destination were the selected combinations to complete the ritual.
As part of the new afternoon tea experience in partnership with Ginori, guests get to choose their preferred tea blend that is then served in a matching Ginori tea set alongside a delectable menu of Italian tramezzini s, scones, chocolate tartlets, cream puffs, and assorted pralines courtesy of the hotel’s Executive Chef Giuseppe Ricci. Guests can also peruse a cart of seasonal desserts from Executive Pastry Chef Leonardo Calieri, featuring carnival sweets this season.

La Via del Tè
La Via del Tè is the story of a family started in September 1961 by Alfredo Carrai with his wife Lalla and carried on today with children and grandchildren.
Alfredo, fascinated by the world of tea, accepted the challenge of introducing the culture of this drink then almost unknown in Italy. The desire to deepen the culture of tea leads him to make numerous trips in search of the rarest teas and the best teas harvested. Alfredo’s first trips to China look like pages from an adventure book.
After more than sixty years, La Via de Tè is still a family business still animated by the same passion of its beginnings. From the import of the best harvests from the countries of origin to the creation of blends and collections, made in balance between innovation and love for the details of the Florentine artisan tradition.
