The St. Regis San Francisco and Veuve Clicquot celebrate women
The St. Regis San Francisco, a five-star luxury hotel renowned for its gracious, bespoke service and exceptional accommodations, is pleased to announce that it will host an exquisite evening in partnership with Veuve Clicquot to celebrate women’s achievements and the release of Veuve Clicquot La Grande Dame 2015. The dinner experience is an open-to-the-public fundraising event and will take place at The St. Regis San Francisco’s signature restaurant, Astra, on Thursday, March 30, from 6:30 until 9:30 PM.
The festive evening will support La Cocina, a charity advocating for women in business by providing an affordable commercial kitchen space, industry-specific technical assistance, and access to marketing opportunities. The organization focuses primarily on delivering resources to women from communities of color and immigrant communities. A portion of the ticketing proceeds will go toward La Cocina. To purchase tickets to the event, please visit the Eventbrite.
La Grande Dame was inspired by Madame Clicquot’s determination, intuition, and vision in pursuing Grand Crus parcels with exceptional grapes. La Grande Dame 2015 blend is made from grapes from historic Grand Cru vineyards that are among the most prestigious in Champagne.
The evening will commence with a signature St. Regis ritual, sabrage. Each of the four prix fixe courses will be paired with – and inspired by – four different Veuve Clicquot expressions.
The first course will be paired with a SIA Scotch cocktail topped with Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label, the second with Veuve Clicquot Rosé, the third with La Grande Dame 2015, and the final course will be paired with Veuve Clicquot Demi-Sec Champagne.
Accomplished female food and beverage executives will address guests between each wine-paired course. SIA Scotch founder, Carin Luna-Ostaseski will begin the speaker series. She is one of the first Hispanic founders of a Scotch whisky brand. Her journey as a first-generation Cuban American challenged conventions every step of the way and has inspired others to “achieve the unexpected,” a mantra that SIA Scotch Whisky now lives by. The speaker series will also include Alicia Cuadra-Cutler, the Northern California Prestige Manager for Resorts, Leisure, and Bar segments for Moët Hennessy. Alicia’s impressive accomplishments include being a certified sommelier through the Court of Master Sommeliers, a Certified Specialist of Wine, and an Italian Wine Professional.
