SANGHAMITRA BOSE has been appointed as American Express Global Business Travel’s new general manager for Singapore. Ms Bose steps into the role from her previous position as director of American Express GBT’s global client group. She initially joined the company in 2003.
NIKHIL MANCHHARAM has been named as Yotel’s new managing director of business development for Asia. Based in Singapore, he will oversee the development of the Yotel and Yotelair brands throughout Asia. Previously, Manchharam was Starwood’s VP of acquisitions & development.
MARK KOBAYASHI has become The Peninsula Hotels’ new vice president of marketing. He will now relocate to the company’s Hong Kong headquarters from Tokyo, where he previously held the role as director of marketing for Japan. Kobayashi has worked with Peninsula since 2006.
MARIO MENDIS has been appointed as Centara Grand Mirage Beach Resort Pattaya’s new executive assistant manager for food & beverage. An Australian national, Mendis has more than 10 years’ experience, including spells with upscale brands including Pullman, Swissotel and Amari.
KEN AOYAMA has been named as SiteMinder’s new chief product officer. His previous experience included a spell with Microsoft, and he also led Cybozu, a Tokyo Stock Exchange-listed company. The move coincides with a major expansion timed to coincide with SiteMinder’s 10th anniversary.
S KARTHIKEYAN has become the new vice president of sales for India’s Sarovar Hotels. He brings more than nine years of hospitality experience to the company, most recently as director of sales & marketing for ITC Hotels. He was previously a management consultant with Technopak.
