Thai Vietjet to resume Phuket – Chiang Rai service
In response to the increasing travel demand between Phuket and Chiang Rai, Thai Vietjet announced the resumption of the cross-regional service between the two cities, starting from October 29, 2023, with 4 flights per week.
“Phuket and Chiang Rai hold their positions of the major destinations of the South and North respectively. As domestic tourism in Thailand is rapidly recovering, the travel demand between both cities has started to pick up again. We believe that the resumption of the flight service between Phuket and Chiang Rai will significantly boost the tourist numbers in both cities, facilitating both business & leisure travelers with a more convenient choice of travel”, said Woranate Laprabang, Chief Executive Officer of Thai Vietjet.
In the early stage of service resumption, the cross-regional flight service between Phuket and Chiang Rai will be operated every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday, with a flight duration of approximately 2 hours 10 minutes, with the following flight schedule:

Currently, Thai Vietjet operates the top 11 Thailand domestic routes, including flights from Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi) to Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Phuket, Krabi, Udon Thani, Hat Yai, Khon Kaen, Ubon Ratchathani, and Surat Thani, cross-regional flights including from Phuket to Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai. The airline is also actively expanding its international flight network to many destinations across Asia-Pacific, connecting Thailand with Vietnam, Singapore, Cambodia, Japan, Taiwan and other top destinations in the region.
