Thai Vietjet to host sustainability activities at Huai Kha Kaeng
Further continuing its environmental protection efforts, Thai Vietjet invites passengers to participate in ‘Fly Green in Haui Kha Kaeng’ a field trip at Huai Kha Kaeng Wildlife Sanctuary in Uthai Thani on 7 – 8 July 2023, aiming to raise awareness of environmental protection and sustainability amongst the public, as a tribute to Seub Nakhasathien.
The campaign stems from the airline’s environmental fund, the ‘Fly Green Fund,’ which was established in early 2021 in collaboration with Seub Nakhasathein Foundation, with the ultimate goal of supporting the Seub Nakhasathien Foundation’s environmental preservation activities in Thailand to protect the forest and endangered wildlife.
Woranate Laprabang, Chief Executive Officer of Thai Vietjet, said: “Thai Vietjet has made continuous contributions to the sustainability of environmental protection, such as reducing pollution from daily operations and implementing numerous environmental protection measures that lessen the root causes of the global warming issue that humanity has been facing with. We have carried out numerous environmental activities under Fly Green Fund, raising awareness of the environmental protection among our staff and the public, reaffirming our commitment to saving the earth, which is the primary goal of Fly Green Fund”
During the two-day field trip event at Huai Kha Kaeng Wildlife Sanctuary in Uthai Thani, participants will have opportunity to study the life history of Seab Nakhasathien; explore the wildlife breeding station; and observe wild animals on the observation tower.
Since the establishment of the Fly Green Fund, Thai Vietjet has consistently been carrying out a wide range of environmental projects and activities, including ‘Garbage Hunter’ – a project with the purpose of removing garbage from various locations in Thailand, ‘Fly Green Charity Golf Day’ – the first charity golf tournament under Fly Green Fund, ‘Fly Green Metro Forest’ – a project to increase more green areas in the urban cities in Thailand, and ‘Vietjet Fly Green Charity Concert’ – an event to create awareness about environmental issues among music fans and raise funds from concert tickets sales to support Sueb Nakhasathien Foundation’s environmental preservation activities.
