Taal Vista Hotel, the iconic and historic retreat nestled in the heart of Tagaytay, recently transformed into a winter wonderland as it hosted its highly anticipated annual Christmas Tree Lighting event. Under the theme “Where Christmas Feels Like Home,” the festivities began with a dazzling ceremony that marked the official start of the holiday season.
The highlight of the evening was the unveiling of a spectacular handmade outdoor Christmas tree, a masterpiece crafted by skilled artisans from Pampanga. The ceremony, graced by esteemed personalities, was led by Ms. Elizabeth Sy, President of SM Hotels and Conventions Corporation, accompanied by Ms. Peggy Angeles, Executive Vice President of SM Hotels and Conventions Corporation, and Mr. Ramon Makilan, the General Manager of Taal Vista Hotel.
Adding a touch of warmth to the celebration, a ceremonial gift-giving session took place, benefiting the children of the Augustinian Sisters Servants of Jesus and Mary. The act of generosity reinforced the spirit of giving and community that defines the holiday season.
As the night unfolded, guests were treated to a mesmerizing Christmas Concert featuring an array of talented musicians. Imusicapella Choir, soloist Jasmine Fitzgerald, viocalist Brian Cimafranca, and pianist Jon Joe Ayala Mercado filled the air with harmonious melodies, creating a magical ambiance that resonated throughout the hotel.
Culinary delights took centre stage with an exquisite six-course traceable dinner curated by the hotel’s Executive Chef Jayme Natividad. The menu showcased the best of locally-sourced ingredients, including Etag, an Ilocano and Cordilleran preserved meat, potatoes from Benguet, tuna from General Santos, tea from Tsaa Laya, and wagyu from Bukidnon. Each dish was thoughtfully paired with elegant wines from Titania Wine Cellar, enhancing the dining experience.
The hotel’s ballrooms were transformed into enchanting spaces, adorned with twinkling Christmas lights and fresh flower centerpieces designed by Julius Villamante of Amante Fleurs. Artuz provided professional lights and sounds, creating an immersive environment that captivated guests and added to the festive atmosphere.
Reflecting on the event, Mr. Ramon Makilan, the General Manager of Taal Vista Hotel, expressed his gratitude, stating, “The ‘Where Christmas Feels Like Home’ Christmas Tree Lighting event was truly a magical and heartwarming experience. We invite everyone to celebrate the season of love, joy, and peace in their second home at Taal Vista Hotel.”
As the holiday season unfolds, Taal Vista Hotel stands as a beacon of festive joy, inviting visitors to create lasting memories in the picturesque surroundings of Tagaytay.
