TAAI’s annual general meeting on 29 Sept
The Travel Agents Association of India (TAAI) will hold its 71st annual general meeting (AGM) on 29th September as well as its national elections.
The process to elect the new managing committee and office bearers for the two-year term 2022-24 will take place from 11:30 am at ITC Maratha hotel in Mumbai. Sharing the information with its members in an official circular, TAAI announced that nominations for the various positions can be filed by 15 September while the last date for withdrawing nominations is 23 September.
The list/details of nominations received shall be updated to the membership on or before 16 September by email, read the circular. During the AGM, the managing committee’s report for the year 2021-22 will also be adopted along with adoption of the annual audited accounts of the association for the year ended on 31 March 2022. At the same time, auditors for the financial year 2022-23 will be appointed as well while fixing their remuneration.
The term of the current team started in 2019 with Jyoti Mayal being the president from the past three years. Jay Bhatia is the vice president, while Bettaiah Lokesh and Shreeram Patel are honorary secretary general and honorary treasurer respectively. The association has more than 2,300 members spread across the parts of the country. TAAI recently organised its 66 th Convention on a cruise in Singapore with attendance of over 300 delegates.
