Super Break has launched Ski North Iceland packages, available on dates in January and February next year.
Three- and four-night packages are now on sale that include charter flights from regional airports, accommodation, ski hire and a two-day ski pass to Iceland’s popular ski resort Hlíðarfjall, situated just outside the town of Akureyri. Prices start from £749pp.
Graham Balmforth, national sales manager at Super Break said: “Skiing in Iceland is pretty unique and perhaps something many customers don’t realise they can do. Our short breaks offer a great opportunity to sample the slopes and perhaps if lucky, even ski under the Northern Lights. I hope that our inclusive packages will appeal to agents as they can earn commission on the whole holiday cost which includes ski hire, lift pass and shuttle service.”
The Hliðarfjall ski area offers a gently sloped bowl area ideal for beginners, plus blue and red slopes for intermediates. For advanced skiers there is the chance to warm up on the piste before heading off to explore the more untouched areas.
As well as 15km of cross-country trails, the seven ski lifts give access to more than 20 slopes; there’s also a ski school, hire shop and restaurant.
Packages cost from £749pp for three nights and £819pp for four nights. Each package includes return flights with 20kg of hold luggage, return transfers, self-catering accommodation at the Saelehus Apartments, Akureyri, two-day ski pass, standard ski rental and shuttle service.
