Nigel Duncan, CEO of pioneering aircraft cabin lighting specialists, STG Aerospace, joined Arun Kashyap, executive vice president (Engineering) of Indian low-cost carrier, SpiceJet, to collect the Inflight Asia-Pacific Award in the Interior Retrofit Project category.
This award is designed to recognise the most exceptional supplier-airline collaboration in the field of cabin interiors on aircraft serving the Asia-Pacific region.
Focused on delivering an enhanced flying experience, SpiceJet partnered with STG Aerospace to retrofit its fluorescent lighting systems on the airline’s fleet of 737-700, -800 and -900 aircraft with the STG Aerospace LED aftermarket lighting system, liTeMood.
“We’re delighted to add this prestigious accolade to our growing list of awards and very proud to be rated as India’s favourite, affordable airline. Thanks to our recent partnership with STG Aerospace we can now deliver a premium flying experience to everyone on-board”. Said Arun Kashyap, executive vice president of Engineering.
Mr Duncan commented: “We’re proud of our long-standing relationship with SpiceJet and equally delighted to have won this award with them. The contract is our first major retrofit win for liTeMood® in the Asia-Pacific region and, as an existing saf-Tglo® customer, SpiceJet have enabled us to demonstrate our total cabin lighting solution in this hugely important market.”
STG Aerospace has an impressive record of winning awards, including the Queen’s Award for Enterprise four times, a Boeing Best Performance Excellence Award eight times, an APEX Award for Best Cabin Innovation and a PAX International Readership Award for Best Cabin Interior Enhancement.
