Sonoma County Tourism recently launched its first-ever training platform that will certify travel professionals as Sonoma County destination experts.
Created in coordination with TravPro Mobile, the new Sonoma County Travel Pro training and sales enablement programme takes travel advisors through an introductory course to ‘all things Sonoma Wine County’, with the idea they will be better prepared to share, sell and promote the destination to their clients.
The platform is both desktop and mobile-friendly and is free to all agents who register. “We have partnered with TravPro for the development and launch of our innovative industry training programme,” said Deleyse Langdale, vice president of global tourism development at Sonoma County Tourism. “In addition to becoming a certified Travel Pro, the platform gives travel agents access to an online tool kit. It also provides targeted content that can be shared directly with their customers. We see this as a win-win on many levels,” Langdale added.
