Qatar Airways unveiled Sama, their second-generation AI-powered digital human cabin crew, through a mesmerizing holographic display at the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2024. Powered by advanced conversational AI, Sama engaged seamlessly with visitors at ATM, effortlessly showcasing her in-depth knowledge of Qatar Airways’ extensive operations. The digital human cabin crew, meticulously designed to offer personalized travel experiences, promises to evolve continually to enhance passenger interactions within Qatar Airways’ immersive platform, QVerse.
In addition to the introduction of Sama, Qatar Airways wowed attendees with their innovative experience stand, offering a range of immersive encounters. From captivating virtual reality (VR) tours to the revolutionary multi-sensory pod, Qatar Airways’ latest technological advancements left visitors enthralled, offering a unique glimpse into the opulent interiors of the airline’s state-of-the-art fleet and the unmatched luxury of the award-winning Qsuite.
Reflecting on this milestone, Qatar Airways Group CEO, Engr. Badr Mohammed Al-Meer, expressed immense pride in presenting Sama 2.0 at ATM Dubai. He emphasized how Sama not only represents the forefront of digital innovation in human interaction but also enhances the overall travel experience for all passengers. Earlier this year, the national carrier of the State of Qatar announced an array of route launches, resumptions, and increased flight frequencies, aiming to meet the escalating travel demand and fortify the airline’s expansive global network, which spans over 170 destinations.
Embarking on a journey of expansion, Qatar Airways will commence operations and resume services to several destinations this summer, including the inaugural flights to Kinshasa in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Tashkent in Uzbekistan. Moreover, the airline will resume services to Lisbon in Portugal, Venice in Italy, and Hamburg in Germany. Additionally, Qatar Airways will operate flights to various destinations throughout the summer season, including Adana, Antalya, Bodrum, Marrakech, Mykonos, Sarajevo, and Trabzon, catering to the diverse travel needs of passengers worldwide.
