SIA’s Pelago ties up with global payment solutions firm Primer
The partnership aims to give global travellers a smarter way to pay anywhere in the world
Travel experiences firm Pelago and unified global payment solutions developer Primer recently teamed up to give the former a way to boost its payments strategy and meet the evolving payment preferences of global travellers.
Through this partnership, Singapore Airlines Groups’s travel experiences arm gets the ability to reconfigure its payment stack to enhance customer experience with local payment methods.
This, in turn, reduces processing costs through multiple payment processors, improves operational efficiency overall, and prevent fraud via third-party integrations.
Through Primer’s unified infrastructure, Pelago will be able to integrate multiple processors to ensure resilience, reduce cost and improve payment performance, all while offering more payment methods to create a seamless experience for global travellers.
A dynamic partnership
Primer’s head of global sales Kailash Madan applauded the partnership, noting how Pelago is a trailblazing and ambitious organisation that recognizes the pivotal role of payments as a differentiating factor and growth lever in a fiercely competitive industry.
Madan said: “By partnering with us, Pelago now has a robust platform that will enable them to seamlessly scale their payment processes, adapt to evolving business needs, and unlock their full potential.”
For his part, Pelago’s chief product officer Altaf Dhamani said: “It’s not possible to operate a global business using a single processor. With Primer we can harness the power of multiple processors, allowing us to develop a cutting-edge payment strategy without depleting resources from our core business.”
Dhamani likewise pointed out how the team at Pelago is just beginning to explore Primer’s infrastructure, but they already appreciate the platform’s transformative ability to intelligently route payments and recover failed transactions.
