Turkish Airlines launches flights from Istanbul to Phnom Penh from 10 Dec 2025
Turkish Airlines will commence flights from Istanbul to Phnom Penh on 10 December 2025, establishing the first regular service between Europe and Cambodia’s capital. The service – marking the seventh flag carrier to fly to Phnom Penh – is set to improve trade relations between Türkiye and Cambodia, contributing to the Asian country’s economy. The airline will operate three-weekly flights to Phnom Penh via Bangkok. Flights will depart from Istanbul to Phnom Penh on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, while flights from Phnom Penh to Istanbul will operate on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Phnom Penh flights will expand Turkish Airline’s Far East network to 20 cities and 21 airports. The service gives Turkish Airlines passengers easier access to one of Southast Asia’s key destinations. Commenting on the new route, Turkish Airlines Chairman of the Board and Executive Committee, Prof. Ahmet Bolat, said: “At Turkish Airlines, we continuously expand our network in Asia and strengthen our connections with strategic destinations in the region. Vietnam Airlines launches nonstop Hanoi-Phnom Penh flights
Vietnam Airlines announced the launch of its new nonstop service between Hanoi and Phnom Penh during the state visit of Vietnamese President To Lam to the Kingdom of Cambodia. The new route takes flight on 27 October with a frequency of four flights a week on Mondays. Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays on Airbus A321. This makes travel between the two Indochina capitals more convenient as those travelling from Hanoi to Phnom Penh currently need to transit via Vientiane, Laos. The direct route likewise brings Vietnam Airlines' total number of routes between Vietnam and Cambodia to five by the end of October. These include four direct routes: Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City to Phnom Penh; Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City to Siem Reap; and one Indochina route. The total number of flights between the two countries will reach 86 per week. Aside from announcing the new route, Vietnam Airlines also signed cooperation agreements with key partners in Cambodia to foster aviation and tourism development between the two countries. Convenience through active collaboration Expanding routes to Cambodia has always been a strategic priority for the carrier, reflecting the close ties between the two neighbouring countries. This expansion has gone on since the flight routes from Vietnam to Cambodia and vice versa were established over 30 years ago. According to Vietnam Airlines chairman of the board Dang Ngoc Hoa: “As the flag carrier, Vietnam Airlines is committed to providing the safe and efficient operation of Cambodian service. We will continue to expand our network, enhance cooperation, and improve competitiveness and service quality to meet passenger expectations.” Dang added that this and other collaborative initiatives are geared towards supporting mutual economic, social, and cultural development, as well as fostering cooperative relations between Vietnam and Cambodia.

Emirates to launch daily direct service between Singapore and Phnom Penh
Emirates will restart its daily Phnom Penh service starting from 1 May via Singapore, boosting the airline’s Southeast Asian connectivity to/from Dubai, and linking two trade and leisure centres in the region. This also marks the launch of Emirates’ first fifth freedom flight between Singapore and Phnom Penh. MAI expands its regional footprint with Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh, Phuket & Phnom Penh
Myanmar Airways International (MAI), Myanmar's largest carrier, is continuing its network expansion as the airline added three regional destinations with Hanoi (HAN), Ho Chi Minh (SGN) and Phuket (HKT) during Oct 2022 and the recently launched Phnom Penh (PNH), effective 23 November 2022. The network expansion aims at a total of 44 additional weekly flights from Yangon (RGN) and Mandalay (MDL) to various Thailand & CLMV markets compared to its pre-pandemic network.
