YoloBus launches two new luxury bus services connecting Gwalior and Lucknow. The new routes aim to bridge a long-standing transportation gap between the two cities. The buses are operating daily with the following departure times: Gwalior to Lucknow: 11:00 AM and 09:00 PM and Lucknow to Gwalior: 11:30 AM and 08:30 PM Historically, Gwalior and Lucknow have been connected by only a single train service, often marked by poor availability and erratic punctuality. IndiGo launches direct flights between Lucknow and Srinagar
IndiGo announces the launch of direct connectivity between Lucknow and Srinagar, starting March 30, 2025. Air India Express celebrates new flights from Bhubaneswar to Jaipur, Kochi, Lucknow, and Patna
Air India Express celebrated the launch of four new routes from Bhubaneswar with a celebratory event at the city’s airport. The inaugural flights to Jaipur and Kochi marked the occasion, while services to Lucknow will commence tomorrow, and flights to Patna are set to start on 15 January 2025. flybig connects Moradabad and Lucknow, expanding UDAN Network
India’s regional airline, flybig, announced the launch of flights between Moradabad and Lucknow, expanding its domestic network under the UDAN scheme. This addition marks Moradabad as the 12th destination on flybig's growing network. The first flight from Moradabad to Lucknow was inaugurated by Shri Dharampal Singh, State government minister and Shri Baldev Singh Aulakh, the Minister of State for Agriculture, who attended the ceremony. The dignitaries emphasized the importance of regional air connectivity in driving socio-economic development and promoting tourism in the state. "As a committed regional carrier, flybig is dedicated to providing accessible and affordable air travel options to underserved and unserved airports across India," said Capt. Saanjay Mandavia, CMD and Founder of flybig. "The introduction of flights between Moradabad and Lucknow will benefit business travellers, tourists, and local residents, facilitating seamless regional connectivity." The airline will operate thrice-weekly flights between Moradabad and Lucknow on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Flights depart Moradabad at 09:35 AM, arriving in Lucknow at 10:45 AM, and return from Lucknow at 07:50 AM, reaching Moradabad at 09:05 AM. The inaugural 19-seater flight on August 10 departs Moradabad at 10:05 AM, landing in Lucknow at 11:15 AM. Frequency may increase based on demand. flybig has also recently launched services from Lucknow to four key destinations, which include Azamgarh, Aligarh, Chitrakoot, and Shravasti, enhancing regional connectivity in Uttar Pradesh. With fares starting at ₹999* on select routes, the new services aim to establish direct connectivity while offering passengers enhanced accessibility and cost-effective travel options. In the coming months, flybig plans to further expand its network, connecting more Tier II and Tier III cities to support regional economic growth and development. Akasa Air commences its maiden flight from Lucknow
Akasa Air operated its first flight from Lucknow – the 11th city in its network, marking the airline’s entry into Uttar Pradesh. With this, Akasa Air will offer daily flights on the Lucknow-Bengaluru and Lucknow-Mumbai route. The first flight on the Lucknow-Mumbai route departed at 1100 hrs IST from Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport in Lucknow. The airline’s entry into Uttar Pradesh was felicitated by the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, in the presence of Akasa Air’s Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Vinay Dube and his team. Commenting on the commencement of the first flight from the state, Adityanath stated: “Uttar Pradesh is one of the leading states in domestic tourism and tourist movement in India. Our state is transforming into the most preferred investment destination in India and therefore, enabling new growth trajectories for shaping the vision of a new India. The 37th Indian Association of Tour Operators (IATO) Annual Convention is going to be held from 16 to 19 December 2022 in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. The theme of the convention is: INBOUND TOURISM- What Lies Ahead! IATO is the National body of the tourism industry. It has over 1600 members covering all segments of Tourism Industry. Ravi Gosain - Vice President is the Chairman of the convention along with Sunil Mishra - Hony. Treasurer and Prateek Hira - Chairman, IATO Uttar Pradesh Chapter as the Co-Chairmen. The inaugural function will be held at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan, Gomti Nagar, Lucknow and Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath is likely to inaugurate the convention. The Centrum Lucknow will be the venue hotel and all other activities including registration for the convention, business sessions and evening programmes will be held at The Centrum, Lucknow. About 900-1000 delegates from all over the country are expected to participate which will include senior officials from the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India and States, industry leaders, tourism and hospitality professionals, travel trade media. Added attraction for this year’s convention would be Post Convention Tours to Ayodhya and Varanasi. There are 5 post convention tours being organised on various sectors. This year there is the expectation of larger participation from the state Government as every state is keen to re-instate inbound tourism to their respective states. During the 3 days convention there will be deliberations on burning issues.
