Tourism Malaysia casts the spotlight on the 21st Royal Langkawi International Regatta

Tourism Malaysia puts into focus one of the country’s most awaited maritime events: the 21st Royal Langkawi International Regatta (RLIR) which sails from the 20th to the 25th January 2025. This prestigious annual event marks the start of Southeast Asia’s 2025 sailing regatta calendar, transforming the idyllic waters of the Andaman Sea into a stunning arena where sailing vessels of all shapes and sizes showcase their elegance against the breathtaking backdrop of Langkawi’s natural beauty. Fly direct from Bengaluru to Langkawi with IndiGo

IndiGo, India's preferred airline, announces exclusive daily direct flights between Bengaluru and Langkawi, starting from December 16, 2024. Langkawi will be IndiGo’s 36th international destination and 124th overall destination to join the extensive 6E network. The new exclusive route will expand IndiGo's global network and cater to the growing number of tourists from India to Malaysia. The Datai Langkawi to appear in BBC documentary series

flydubai expands its network in Southeast Asia with the start of flights to Penang and Langkawi

flydubai, the Dubai-based carrier, inaugurated its operations to Langkawi and Penang on 10 February. The inaugural flight, which coincided with the auspicious first day of Chinese New Year, touched down at Penang International Airport (PEN) and Langkawi International Airport (LGK) and were met with a water cannon salute and a warm welcome by local authorities, becoming the first carrier to serve the two airports with a daily service from Dubai. The carrier becomes the first to connect the popular destinations with flights from the UAE and the Middle East. Flights to Langkawi will operate via a short stop in Penang, offering passengers from the UAE and the region convenient travel options via Dubai’s aviation hub. Hilton has signed an agreement with Tradewinds Corporation Berhad to expand Hilton’s flagship brand in Malaysia with Hilton Burau Bay Resort Langkawi.
