Hainan Airlines goes with Sabre Fare Manager and Contract Manager
Travel technologies developer Sabre Corporation signed a new long-term agreement with Hainan Airlines, one of China’s largest carriers. Hainan Airlines will use Sabre’s Fares Manager and Contract Manager to efficiently manage and optimize international fares, helping to ensure competitiveness in the global market. Fares Manager, in particular, will bring integrated end-to-end automation and intelligence to its pricing strategy across new, existing, and resumed routes. Currently, Hainan Airlines is expanding its international footprint, so Sabre’s advanced technology will play a pivotal role in supporting these growth plans by enhancing the airline’s ability to monitor and adjust fares dynamically to maximize revenue opportunities. White paper on developing the brand image of Hainan tourism released
Hainan Province’s Department of Tourism, Culture, Radio, Television, and Sports released a new white paper titled Hainan Tourism and Culture Brand Image Development and International Communication Strategies. The report was developed in collaboration with the News and Information Centre of Xinhua News Agency and seeks to provide a multidimensional analysis of Hainan's tourism and cultural brand image. The white paper consists of five key sections and 22 chapters, covering topics such as: "Macro Background of Inbound Tourism in Hainan Province", "Analysis of the Current Situation of Inbound Tourism in China and Hainan Province", "Challenges Facing Hainan's Inbound Tourism", "The 'Digital Twin' Tourism Experience Model", and "Countermeasures and Recommendations". It systematically examines factors influencing Hainan's inbound tourism and compares its uniqueness and similarities with both domestic and international competitors. It also offers forward-looking, targeted, and actionable solutions in areas such as brand image development, international communication strategies, visitor experience enhancement, and tourism management systems. Extensive research The research process spanned nearly a year, and the team employed diverse methodologies including industry-wide field surveys, domestic and international questionnaire analyses, in-depth interviews, and participatory observation, while taking into consideration of the current trends of Hainan and its boutique tourist destinations, creating and analysing a multi-dimensional picture of the Hainan tourism sector. The white paper adopts an advanced theoretical framework centered on an "emotional cognition-behavioral decision-making" model to analyse tourists' experience, offering a novel and systematic perspective to understand the whole tourism process in the context of the digital era. It also addresses the macro trends driven by the rise of "Generation Z" consumers and the structural transformation of the tourism industry, and thoroughly explores the transformation of the entire tourism and culture industry of Hainan Province. In terms of narrative strategy, the white paper innovatively introduces the "digital twin" model to offer an in-depth exploration of traveller behaviour and preferences, opening a new horizon for Hainan to develop its tourism and culture industry in an innovative way.
Hainan Airlines releases flight schedule for winter 2024 / spring 2025
Hainan Airlines announced that it will implement its winter and spring flight plan beginning 27th October, adding new routes and increasing flights to meet the needs of holiday travellers. The airline also announced its plans to introduce a new range of innovative products and services, as well as making travel more convenient for passengers in the coming seasons. For winter 2024 / spring 2025, Hainan Airlines plans to operate up to 500 domestic routes covering 80 cities. It will also add 40 new routes to its domestic network. New destinations Among the routes for addition to the network are flights going to and from Haikou, Changsha, Lanzhou, Urumqi, among other places. The airline will also increase the frequency of popular flights, including Haikou-Changsha / Xi'an / Nanchang, Beijing Capital-Sanya / Shanghai Pudong / Xi'an, Sanya-Nanchang / Jinan / Zhengzhou. In terms of international routes, Hainan Airlines aims to fly over 50 international and regional round-trip passenger routes departing from Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Haikou, Chongqing, Xi'an, Changsha, Taiyuan, Dalian, and Guangzhou to more than 30 countries and regions, further meeting the entry and exit needs of passengers. In addition, the airline will add international routes such as Shenzhen-Madrid, Haikou-Seoul, Beijing-Vladivostok, and increase the frequency of flights on popular international routes such as Haikou-Bangkok / Singapore and Chongqing-Paris. Catering to different passenger needs During the upcoming season, Hainan Airlines’ focus will be on the core public and business markets. Hainan Airlines’s first-ever direct Beijing-Tokyo flight landing at Tokyo Haneda Airport successfully took off from Beijing Capital International Airport on the evening of 1st September. This marks the official launch of Hainan Airlines' fourth direct flight to Japan after Beijing-Tokyo (Narita), Beijing-Osaka, and Xi'an-Tokyo (Narita). Hainan Airlines kicks off Beijing-Mexico route
