Philippine Airlines enters 2018 with ‘Great Winter Seat Sale’

Philippine Airlines (PAL) offers value for money on return flights to Asian and Australasian destinations with its 'Great Winter Seat Sale.' All daily flights on the airline’s new Boeing 777-300ERs from London Heathrow go through the flag carrier’s capital, Manila, which is both a destination of interest and a gateway to Asia, Australia and New Zealand. Flights to Manila start from £549 on Economy Class and £2,005 on Business Class inclusive of taxes. The Philippines has more than 7,000 islands and a low cost of living that even Thailand would envy, making it the perfect destination for money-conscious beachcombers. Party-lovers can head to Boracay, an island with a 5km long stretch of sandy beach, coconut trees and crystal clear waters. Its five star Crimson Hotel Resort & Spa, which is slated to open in April 2018, will allow guests to use the hotel’s own boat to transfer direct from the island’s airport to check-in. Book a flight to Boracay from £579 including all taxes for travel. Other popular beachfronts in the Philippines can be found in the island-city of Cebu, a commercial and religious hub that is also famed for dried mangoes, and Davao, which features spectacular wildlife and lustrous pearl farms. In order to fly to either destination, simply pay £579 inclusive of taxes. The Philippines is also the next-door neighbour of another Asian archipelago, Indonesia. PAL enters its capital, Jakarta, or its most popular destination, Bali, for just £468 inclusive of taxes. Within the vicinity of both countries lie the cosmopolitan Hong Kong towards the north, and progressive Singapore towards southwest. PAL flies to both countries from £481 and £475 respectively. Prefer to temple-hop in the jungle? Fly to Bangkok, Thailand at the same rate as a ticket to Singapore, for just £475. For those who wish to experience the delights of Japan, PAL also offers flights from London Heathrow to Tokyo Narita or Tokyo Haneda for just £534 Off the beaten track of destinations for long haul travellers is Taiwan, which boasts of an eclectic food scene, ancient temples and a wealth of natural scenery. Offering both a tropical and sub-tropical climate, the island enjoys a cherry blossom season in March and a display of ‘blue tears’ – bioluminescence caused by glowing algae found around the island waters – during late spring. Its capital, Taipei, is accessible from London Heathrow for just £469, while a deluxe room for two at the city’s Shangri-La Far Eastern Plaza Hotel starts from £213 per night. Major Australasian cities are also part of the PAL route network. Brisbane and Sydney in Australia are within reach for just £626, while tickets to Melbourne cost only £616. The airline also journeys to Auckland in New Zealand, the country which played ‘Middle-Earth’ for the film adaptations of J.R.R. Tolkien’s novels, for just £592. Book on www.philippineairlines.com before 31 January 2018 to enjoy great value fares for transpacific journeys. Note that travel dates start from 16 January through 30 October 2018, except for the periods of 19 March through 08 April and July through August 2018. PAL is the Philippines’ only full service carrier, with cabin amenities, inflight dining, inflight entertainment and connectivity, and heart-warming service. The airline’s new 777 aircraft substantially enhances the passenger travel experience with Business Class seats adjusting into fully flat beds, and Economy Class passengers enjoying in-flight entertainment through touch-screen personal TVs and built-in USB ports.
