Virgin Atlantic boosts London Heathrow-Bengaluru connectivity
Virgin Atlantic is increasing services between London Heathrow and Bengaluru (Bangalore) from 7 to 11 flights per week in January, February and March 2026, strengthening links between the UK and India while enhancing connectivity across North America. Reflecting strong customer demand, the additional flights supplement the airline’s existing daily schedule to Bengaluru, first launched in March 2024 for both customer and cargo operations. With India representing Virgin Atlantic’s largest area of growth outside the United States, the enhanced schedule complements the airline’s double daily services from London Heathrow to both Delhi and Mumbai and builds on our successful partnership with IndiGo, providing seamless connections to 33 destinations across India including Goa, Amritsar and Jaipur. Bengaluru, also known as the Silicon Valley of India, is a rapidly growing tech hub and one of the largest corporate markets in India. The strengthened service will not only enhance connections between this fast-growing city and the UK but also offer smooth onward connections via London Heathrow to major cities across North America, including Toronto, Seattle, San Francisco and New York JFK, with Virgin Atlantic and its transatlantic joint venture partner, Delta Air Lines. Virgin Atlantic to Service London Heathrow to Grenada with Airbus A330Neo

Emirates increases London Heathrow schedule to 48 weekly flights to cater to the winter rush
Emirates, the world’s largest international airline, is unlocking more opportunities for travel with the addition of six weekly flights to its London Heathrow schedule, starting 26 October 2025. The boosted schedule for the winter season follows record growth and demand, providing more convenience and departure time choices for travellers journeying to and from London Heathrow, and is well-timed to serve the year-end travel peak. Emirates already flies six times a day to and from London Heathrow, and all flights are served by its flagship Airbus A380. The additional flights will operate on all days except for Fridays during the winter period with the airline’s Boeing 777-300ER, offering over 350 seats each way in a three-class configuration split between First, Business, and Economy. Strategically timed overnight departures from London Heathrow to Dubai provide convenient onward connections to destinations like Durban, Phuket, Kuala Lumpur, Hong Kong, Beijing, Shenzhen, Guangzhou and Jakarta. Flights to London Heathrow offer well-timed connectivity for travellers coming from cities across West Asia like Ahmedabad, Lahore, Maldives, Hyderabad and Chennai, Beijing and Shanghai in the Chinese mainland as well as several points within the Middle East including Bahrain, Dammam and Riyadh. Flight EK41 will depart Dubai on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday at 13:40hrs, arriving in London Heathrow at 17:40hrs*. Enhanced frequencies at Emirates’ London hubs, including London Heathrow** and London Gatwick, will take the airline's total weekly services to 90 flights by early next year. IndiGo announces daily, direct flights to London Heathrow from 26 October 2025
Marking the completion of 19 years of its operations, IndiGo, India's preferred airline, announced several strategic developments in its journey to become a global airline. IndiGo will be receiving five additional Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft in the current financial year under its damp-lease arrangement with Norse Atlantic Airways, which will enable the airline to launch new international routes while strengthening its existing long-haul network. Daily, direct flights from India to London Heathrow IndiGo, today, announced direct daily flights to London Heathrow starting 26 October 2025, subject to regulatory approvals. The airline will operate a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft on this route. These flights will be available for booking soon. IndiGoStretch now on Dubai and Singapore routes IndiGo has also upgraded the product on select international routes. Starting 09 August 2025, IndiGo will start offering its tailor-made business product, IndiGoStretch on flights connecting Singapore to Delhi and Mumbai, as it will operate its two-class A321 aircraft on the routes. Similarly, the airline will introduce IndiGoStretch on flights between Delhi and Dubai from 30 August 2025, and flights between Mumbai and Dubai starting 03 September 2025. Air Canada celebrates resumption of London Heathrow to Ottawa flights
Air Canada, Canada’s largest airline and flag carrier, took to the skies with its newest route, relaunching flights between London Heathrow and Ottawa.The new international service heralds a huge milestone, not only for Air Canada, but also for UK-Canada ties, being the only direct flight between the UK and Canada’s capital city. The first flight, AC889, departed Heathrow at 14:05 yesterday afternoon, following a small celebration at Heathrow’s Terminal 2, before touching down in Ottawa at 16:25 local time. This summer, flights will operate four times per week, departing London each Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday afternoon, arriving into the Ontarian city in just over seven hours*. On the return, flights depart Ottawa each Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday evening, before arriving into the British capital the next morning. Customers looking to cross the Atlantic in style can benefit from this new service until 25 October 2025, with flights operated by the airline’s state-of-the-art 787-9 Dreamliner fleet, featuring lie-flat seats in Business Class, and spacious Premium Economy and Economy cabins. Lufthansa unveils modern new lounge at London Heathrow Airport
On 21 January 2025, Lufthansa will re-open its new and improved passenger lounge at London Heathrow Airport. Located in Terminal 2, South Level, Level 5, the Senator and Business Lounge, which has been closed for renovations since October 2024, will now offer passengers an elevated travel experience. The elegantly refurbished lounge boasts a stylish modern design, with substantial upgrades to flooring, lighting, and furnishings. Workspaces have been reimagined with the addition of chain curtains to enhance zoning and privacy. In the Business area of the lounge, highlights include two private phone booths with upgraded wall panels for better acoustics. The Senator section of the lounge has also seen significant improvements, with redesigned workspaces, enhanced seating, and a new locally inspired design of elements and decoration. New Route connecting Rimini’s Fellini Airport and London Heathrow from May 2025

Federico Fellini International announces that British Airways will launch three weekly flights between London Heathrow and Rimini, starting May 15 and running until September 27.
