Seal Bay Resort in Selsey has won a hattrick of coveted awards recognising it as a leading destination for family stays and food at a UK awards ceremony.
The park won accolades at an awards ceremony organised by Hoseasons, the leading booking site for holiday parks across Britain. Fending off competition from hundreds of other resorts, it was named winner of the ‘Family Fun Lodges and Parks in South of England’ category.
It also picked up the ‘Customer Choice Food Award for “Best in Britain”’ and the ‘Customer Choice Food Award in the Family Fun Lodges and Parks in South of England’ category. The honours mark the continuing success of Seal Bay Resort since it was purchased by Cove UK in August 2019.

In Scotland, Cove’s Argyll Holidays portfolio won two awards, with Hunter’s Quay in Dunoon named winner of the ‘Family Fun Lodges and Parks in Scotland’ category and Loch Lomond Holiday Park crowned winner of the ‘Lodge Escape Lodges and Parks in Scotland’ category.
Cove is the UK’s fifth largest caravan park operator, with recent acquisitions including Europe’s largest park, Seal Bay Resort (formerly Bunn Leisure) in August 2019, Medmerry Park in August 2021 and Argyll Holidays in February 2022.
The company pledges to source at least 20% of produce locally, build local partnerships, and actively engage in local community initiatives. Cove UK’s Go Cove outdoor activities and environmental education programme is already flourishing at its resorts including Seal Bay Resort, Gwel an Mor in Cornwall and the Argyll Holidays parks in Scotland.
Investment in homeowners, holidaymakers and team members is a key priority for Cove UK. Its dedicated training centre, ‘Cove Academy’ has a range of tailored training and development opportunities that enable Cove team members to build fulfilling careers in the leisure industry. The Cove Academy works with local and regional skills providers and local partnerships to establish effective networks for team development and over 900 training courses were undertaken by Cove UK staff in 2022 alone.
