Savour Sri Lanka flavours at Lotus Cafe
Journey through tropical paradise and savour the delectable cuisine of Sri Lanka as JW Marriott Mumbai Juhu, in collaboration with Weligama Marriott Resort & Spa and Sheraton Kosgoda Turtle Beach Resort brings to you a special culinary food festival from 24th February to 1st March, 2023.
Shaped by a myriad influences from its neighboring Southeast Asian cultures, Sri Lankan cuisine boasts an exotic blend of spices and curry concoctions. Chef Moraliya Arachchige Prashan Kumara from Sheraton Kosgoda Turtle Beach Resort and Chef Chanaka Denuwan from Weligama Marriott Resort & Spa, along with the culinary team of Lotus Café are all set to transport guests to the sandy shores of the tropical paradise. The food festival will offer a wide display of authentic Sri Lankan dishes, showcasing the rich heritage of the culinary gem.

What’s more, JW Marriott Mumbai Juhu has also partnered with the Consulate General of Sri Lanka to showcase the island’s cultural fanfare at Lotus Café, and with Sri Lankan Airlines to offer guests the chance to win tickets to Colombo. The timing of the event is perfect as tourists from all over the world are returning to Sri Lanka after a couple of difficult years. Prepared using the finest indigenous ingredients to make for a delectable gourmet experience, guests can enjoy traditional delicacies of Sri Lanka like Cashew Curry, Mango Curry, Themparadu Rice, Fish White Curry, Chicken Red Curry, Appa (Hoppers), Koththu Roti, Chicken Chutney Roast, Fish Ambulthiyel (Signature Fish Curry), Raw Mango Salad, Chili Pineapple Salad, Pol Sambol (traditional coconut dish) and desserts like Sago Pudding, Watalappan (Coconut Custard Pudding), Naran Kavum (coconut and rice flour dessert) amongst many more.
