Santiburi Koh Samui appoints Adrian Hauenstein as new executive chef

Koh Samui’s Santiburi Beach Resort & Spa, have announced award-winning Adrian Hauenstein as the luxury resort’s new executive chef.
Having worked in a diverse array of restaurants around the world, chef Adrian’s culinary talents and passion for presentation, quality and the finest ingredients have been developed to the highest of standards throughout his career.
His previous posts include Park Hotel Winterthur near Zurich International Airport, the Ayada Hotel & Resort, included in the Conde Nast Traveler list of best hotels in the Maldives, and renowned bakery, bistro and chocolatier – The Shop, in Cambodia. As xxecutive chef for the Swiss Army, the talented young chef was also the proud recipient of a Gamelle d’Or award for the best barracks kitchen, an honour issued by the Swiss Government.
Speaking on his new role, chef Adrian said “The resort already offers guests a wide choice of top quality Thai and international dishes. My aim is to focus on all aspects of the dining experience, from staff training to food presentation, and to make sure that every restaurant at Santiburi matches the tastes and exceeds the expectations of our guests and visitors. Cooking is my passion as well as my profession. For me, fresh, quality ingredients are the foundations for in all types of cuisine.”
