Sacramento announces 2024 farm-to-fork festival line up
Running from 20-21 September with free entry, the festival welcomes everyone
Grammy Award-winning Andra Day is bringing her mix jazz, blues and R&B, and Hayes Carll & The Band of Heathens will bring the country and rock and roll to headline the musical entertainment at this year’s free Farm-to-Fork Festival hosted by Visit Sacramento, alongside The Hip Abduction, Chance Emerson, and local Sacramento artists including Arden Park Roots, Boot Juice, Nat Lefkoff, Inner Nature, E D D Y, Zephyr, DJ Stace Lace, and Dunsbar Road.
Served up alongside the stacked line-up is the region’s very best farm fresh produce, with some of the city’s best chefs sharing their knowledge, tips, and some tasty food. The chef line-up includes Jamie Rathburn of Ella Dining Room and Bar, Cecil Rhodes of Nash and Proper, and Pedro Depina of The 7th Street Standard. Visitors can head to Sacramento’s Capitol Mall to enjoy the free musical entertainment whilst enjoying food from one of over 75 vendors serving up farm-fresh cuisine.
Beginning in 2013 Sacramento’s Farm-to-Fork festival celebrates the region’s incredible food and agriculture, the city is surrounded by rich farmland so farm fresh produce is plentiful and Sacramento has been dubbed America’s farm-to-fork capital as a result. The festival introduces people to the chefs, farmers, ranchers, vintners, and brewers who are bringing delicious food and drinks to the city’s tables every day.
As well as food and music, the festival also highlights the region’s vineyards and wineries at the Legends of Wine tastings, 40 expertly selected wineries set up in front of the State Capitol, and welcome visitors to sample delicious wine from across the region, often poured by the makers themselves, alongside selections of cheese and other bites to go with them.
