Royal Jordanian Airlines is launching a new same-day connecting flight route from London Heathrow to Aqaba via the capital city, Amman, in a bid to woo more British tourists. The service will start on March 31.
Prior to this, an overnight stop in Amman was needed on the outbound journey before a flight could be caught to Aqaba if travelling from the UK.
Aqaba is a thriving holiday resort, with amazing diving and snorkelling, beautiful sandy beaches and world-class hotels, and is just a stone-throw away from the UNESCO protected Wadi Rum Desert and the ancient city of Petra, one of the seven wonders of the world.
The flight will operate once a week from March 31 to June 30 and from September 15 to October 27.
