Cruise firm Royal Caribbean International announced the appointment of Chad Grospe as its new vice-president and managing director for the Asia-Pacific.
This appointment comes ahead of the arrival of Anthem of the Seas in Singapore in November 2024 and Ovation of the Seas in October 2025.
According to the company’s senior international vice-president Angie Stephen, Grospe’s vision, deep knowledge of the industry, and proven experience in international markets make him the right leader to drive Royal Caribbean’s growth and success in Asia.
Stephen said: “The future is bright for Royal Caribbean, and [Grospe] and the Asia-Pacific team will be key to delivering millions of world-class vacations we bring to life around the world.”
Grospe himself said of the appointment: “I’m thrilled to join and lead the team in Asia-Pacific to build on the record-breaking business and accomplishments that Angie Stephen, now Senior Vice President of International, and the organization achieved. It’s a pivotal time as the industry continues to grow across the region.”
He went on to explain that many of the world’s most sought-after destinations and experiences are in Asia-Pacific. As such, Royal Caribbean sets the stage with award-winning ships and locales that will meet that growth across the region, with more memorable holidays for families and friends locally and from across the globe.
Grospe added: “The Asia-Pacific region holds immense potential, and I am excited to work closely with our talented team to push the envelope of what’s possible in the vacation industry.”
