River cruise line A-ROSA and Alder Hey Children’s Charity have joined forces for 2018, to help families with children who are recovering from long-term illness.
Part of the new collaboration will see A-ROSA offer five families the opportunity to enjoy a river cruise in Europe and recharge after their time in Alder Hey Children’s Hospital.
The hospital is based in Liverpool and cares for over 275,000 children every year. It treats children for a range of illnesses and is globally recognised for excellence in children’s healthcare.
Lucia Rowe, head of A-Rosa UK said: “This is such an important partnership for us and our chance to give something back and help families who have been through so much. A-ROSA is the most family friendly river cruise line in the cruise sector and we have worked hard to develop a river cruise concept aimed at families travelling together in a fun and relaxed way. Almost 2000 children and their families have already cruised with us since we introduced the concept and such has been the growth that we now have Kids Clubs onboard during key holiday periods. This really did feel like the perfect fit and we hope each of the families from Alder Hey who travel with us will come back relaxed and re-engerised with some amazing memories made.”
