Rogers Hospitality appoints Veit Fuhrmeister as chief commercial officer
Rogers Hospitality, the Mauritian hospitality company, managing Heritage Resorts and Veranda Resorts has appointed seasoned professional Veit Fuhrmeister as chief commercial officer.
Veit who is German and Italian, will be attending World Travel Market in London this year to meet some of the company’s travel trade partners, with head of sales Charles Rey and CEO Thierry Montocchio. His main role will be growing both local and international business, increasing existing revenue lines as well as developing new revenue opportunities. He will also be developing strategic partnerships to enhance brand visibility as well as penetrating new segments.

As chief commercial officer of Rogers Hospitality, Veit will report to the chief executive officer Thierry Montocchio and will be responsible for the performance, development and operations of the sales and marketing function.
Veit holds a Master’s degree in Hotel and Tourism Management from the University of Saarbrucken in Germany, and a MBA in Marketing from the Chamber of Commerce, as well as a Global Business Management Certificate from INSEAD, and has more than 26 years’ experience in Sales & Marketing Management and Business Development within the hotel sector.
Previous companies he has worked with include ACCOR in the French Caribbean, Exclusive Hotels, Apavou Hotels & Resorts in Mauritius, Pierre et Vacances, Center Parcs, Expedia Inc and HRS Group.
