Rocket DMC Uzbekistan promotes country’s potential to Turkish travel agents
The event featured different aspects of Uzbek culture, from art to gastronomy
Uzbek travel firm Rocket DMC Uzbekistan recently hosted a promotional event touting the country’s tourism potential to travel agencies in Turkey.
Over 60 Turkish travel agencies were given a presentation regarding Uzbekistan’s unique culture at the headquarters of the Association of Travel Agencies of Turkey (TÜRSAB.)
Turkish tour operators received detailed information about Rocket DMC Uzbekistan tour packages, learned about the advantages of traveling to Uzbekistan, and brought up to date on modern conditions for tourists.
Air Samarkand and airport management company Air Marakanda were also highlighted as a quality airline and for airport services.
Rocket personnel showcased national dishes, fruits, sweets from the ‘sunny land’, local art and cultural objects, colourful outfits, Suzani textiles and fragments of historical significance. This drew guests into an atmosphere of the ‘hospitable Uzbekistan’ that awaits international visitors.
The interactive presentation also included a video highlighting the history of Uzbekistan, which was accompanied by traditional dancers and a short play by actors.
Rocket DMZ Uzbekistan general director Negina Mukhtarova remarked that the event exceeded their expectations, with Turkish companies proposing several ideas for a joint pilgrimage tourism program to the country’s key Islamic sites.
Mukhtarova added: “We hope that after such fruitful meetings and presentations, the number of Turkish tourists to Uzbekistan will increase even more. With Air Samarkand, we intend to offer two or three services that will make the Istanbul-Samarkand flight connection even more popular.”
