Resorts World Genting, the integrated resort in the mountains of the Malay Peninsula, has unveiled a new attraction – a glass-floored cable car.
The Awana Skyway transports passengers 2.8km from the new Awana Transportation Hub, which houses a bus terminal, car park and helipad, to Chin Swee Temple Station and SkyAvenue Station within the resort.
It has a top speed of six metres per second and the capacity to transport 3,600 passengers each way every hour. There are a total of 99 gondolas, 10 of which feature glass floors that allow visitors to look down on the forest below, and soon, the Twentieth Century Fox theme park.
Resorts World Genting handles more than 20 million visitors per year.
