Red Savannah launches ‘Grand Tour of Europe’ by private jet in 2023
Luxury travel specialist, Red Savannah, launches an inaugural Grand Tour of Europe by Private Jet. Commencing 12 September 2023, this exciting journey will travel to Europe’s most coveted destinations over 12 incredible days, venturing from London to Sicily, then on to the Greek Isles, the Adriatic Riviera and finally the magical City of Canals, Venice. George Morgan-Grenville, Founder & CEO said, “The Grand Tour of Europe offers a new paradigm, using a much smaller private jet to connect some of Europe’s greatest sites, without the need for non-stop travel around multiple airports. Exclusivity is the hallmark and in addition to superlative group events, each guest will have a choice between independent privately guided sightseeing, or time to enjoy the facilities of some of the best hotels in Europe… or both. The result is a rich combination of cultural immersion, underpinned by flexibility & choice and most importantly, with time to enjoy each destination.”
Just 15 travellers will have the opportunity to join this one-of-a-kind tour, traveling by custom-configured, all-first-class Embraer Legacy ER135 with on-board meals designed exclusively by London members-only dining club, Mosimann’s. The itinerary has been crafted to combine exclusive tours and group experiences with a considered program of individual activities, with time for spontaneous encounters and relaxation.
Group experiences include exploring Palermo’s historic streets by Vespa, a private tour and tasting at one of Sicily’s most historic wineries hosted by the owners and private boat charters to islands in the Cyclades and Croatia’s beautiful Elaphiti archipelago.
Some of the activities in the impressive ‘menu’ of individual activities include tasting your way around the food markets of Palermo’s Capo and Vucciria districts with an expert and exploring the city’s remarkable underground labyrinth of tunnels at Muchabe Arabe; a guided caldera hike with lunch at a prestigious winery in Santorini; kayaking around Dubrovnik’s historic city walls and a Dalmatian cookery class in the beautiful surroundings of the Trsteno Arboretum (recognizable to Game of Thrones aficionados as the Gardens of the King’s Landing). In Venice the roster includes the opportunity to explore secret gardens, try your hand as a gondolier, and meeting fascinating Venetians such as the craftspeople behind Tessitura Luigi Bevilacqua, a Contessa in her private palazzo and a renowned Carnival costumier.
This freedom of choice extends to the culinary program as well, with once-in-a-lifetime cocktail receptions and dinners at special venues, and inclusive independent dining at a carefully-curated selection of world-class restaurants in each destination. Venues include London’s Wellington Arch (serenaded by the Band of one of His Majesty’s Regiments of Foot Guards), the 11th century Cupola del Santissimo Salvatore and a majestic 18th century palace in Palermo, an acclaimed taverna with caldera views in Santorini and the most storied glassworks on the Venetian Island of Murano.
The inaugural Grand Tour will be joined by a very special Tour Director, British-American aristocrat, Julie Montagu, Viscountess Hinchingbrooke. The star of the Smithsonian Channel series, ‘An American Aristocrat’s Guide to Great Estates’ and the hugely popular YouTube’s ‘American Viscountess’, Julie has made numerous guest appearances in documentaries and news programs providing commentary on the Royal Wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, the Platinum Jubilee celebrations of Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and, most recently, the State Funeral.
A special launch promotion will see the first four people to book onto the tour receive complimentary first-class round trip air tickets. The tour price includes a contribution to the Rainforest Trust to fully mitigate carbon emissions by all private jet flights, as well as flights to and from the journey start and end points.
The Grand Tour is priced at USD 139,500 per person based on two people sharing until 31st January (thereafter, USD145,000 per person) , inclusive of all private jet flights with luxury in-flight catering with menus designed by Mosimann’s*, five star accommodation on bed and breakfast basis throughout, most lunches, all dinners including special events, as well as independent dining, welcome cocktail party and dinner in London and farewell cocktail party and dinner in Venice, program of individual and group sightseeing, Tour Director and Tour Leader throughout, contribution to Rainforest Trust to mitigate carbon emissions from all flights.
