Radisson Hotel Group continues its ambitious growth in Thailand with the signing of Park Inn by Radisson Bangkok Don Mueang which will introduce the Park Inn by Radisson brand to the “Land of Smiles”.
Thailand has been identified as a strategic target market for Radisson Hotel Group, thanks to the country’s rising domestic affluence and enduring popularity among international travelers, with Bangkok ranked the world’s most popular city from 2016 to 2019². In 2022, Thailand recorded 11.15 million foreign visitors and expects more than 30 million foreign tourists in 2023 as the tourism sector continues to gather steam.
Over the past 12 months, Radisson Hotel Group has experienced remarkable growth in Thailand with the signing of seven new hotels encompassing over 1,300 rooms, including the recent openings of Radisson Resort & Suites Phuket, Radisson Resort & Spa Hua Hin, and Lewit Hotel Pattaya, a member of Radisson Individuals as well as the soon-to-open Radisson RED Phuket Patong Beach and Radisson Hotel Ploenchit Bangkok.
The introduction of the midscale to upper-midscale Park Inn by Radisson brand to Thailand marks the Group’s sixth brand at play in the country. The Group’s rapid expansion in Thailand will be supported by its Bangkok-based business unit which has already tripled in headcount since its opening in 2021 to provide more relevance and support to its owners, guests and employees.

Feel Good in Bangkok
Park Inn by Radisson is the Group’s midscale to upper midscale brand which offers owners a value engineered real estate proposition providing a unique experience to its guests based on smart design, communal open spaces, and well-equipped amenities that help guests Feel Good.
Scheduled to open in the third quarter of 2024, Park Inn by Radisson Bangkok Don Mueang will comprise of 89 contemporary guestrooms, an all-day dining restaurant, a bar, an outdoor swimming pool, and a 140-square meter function room. The hotel is ideally situated just 10 minutes from Don Mueang International Airport which serves millions of domestic and international passengers. In addition, the hotel is minutes away from Don Mueang Station, on the SRT Red Line, which offers connections to downtown Bangkok as well as Bangsue Grand Station, Southeast Asia’s largest railway station and the nation’s central railway hub to different regions of Thailand.
Strong pipeline of openings in Thailand
Looking ahead, the Group has an exciting lineup of upcoming hotels set to open within the next 12 months, including:
- Radisson RED Phuket Patong Beach, scheduled to open in Q1 2024, will mark Radisson RED’s debut in Thailand. The 390-room upscale lifestyle hotel will offer a playful twist on the conventional with social spaces that let savvy travelers kick back, relax, and feel the buzz of their destination. Radisson RED Phuket Patong Beach invites guests to explore Phuket’s lively attractions thanks to its convenient location in the Patong city center, minutes away from the beach, retail malls, restaurants, and vibrant nightlife.
- Radisson Resort Phuket Mai Khao Beach, scheduled to open in Q2 2024, is strategically located on the island’s northwest shore with direct access to Mai Khao Beach, an 11km-long stretch of sand overlooking the Andaman Sea. The 222-key upscale resort will offer a collection of spacious rooms and expansive two-bedroom suites, including rooms offering private pools or outdoor pool access.
- Radisson Hotel Ploenchit Bangkok, a new flagship Radisson branded hotel, will open in Bangkok’s most dynamic downtown district in Q2 2024. The 133-key contemporary upscale hotel sits in the thriving Ploenchit commercial area surrounded by upmarket lifestyle malls, restaurants, and embassies. Following significant renovations to the former Chateau de Bangkok, the new upscale Radisson hotel will offer guests a timeless appeal and a relaxed environment as a leading upscale hotel in Bangkok.
