Promoting Mallorca at WTM
Catalina Cladera Crespi, Head of the Mallorcan Government and Andreu Serra Martínez, Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport will attend WTM London 2022 to promote Mallorca’s sustainability agenda and sports tourism program.
Mallorca will once again attend WTM in November accompanied by 11 local tourism municipalities: Palma, Calvià, Pollença, Son Servera, Sant Llorenç, Santanyí, Alcúdia, Andratx, Manacor, Felanitx and Marratxí In a coordinated manner, the island’s tourism sector is present for yet another year to increase the travel trade’s brand awareness, knowledge and understanding of the island’s wealth of cultural, culinary, sports and outdoors experiences.Majorca will share the Balearic Islands stand at WTM, EU500.
The WTM is undoubtedly one of the most important meetings of the international travel industry due to the high level of trade meetings and media interviews that take place and our successful, well-attended networking event this is an essential part of my annual agenda to promote Mallorca as a leader in sustainability and sports and quality tourism”, commented the president.
The two ministers will meet with UK Travel industry leaders on the first day of the show including Tui, DNATA, Thomas Cook, BA Holidays, Expedia and Charitable Travel. On the second day, Catalina Cladera Crespi will join the other Balearic Islands at 10.30 am, on the Balearic Islands stand (EU500) for a presentation of their sustainability and responsible tourism measures.
The president of Mallorca will also explain the strategy that is being developed for accessible tourism. All media and visitors to WTM are welcome. That evening Catalina Cladera Crespi will host an invitation-only networking-event on Mallorca as a Global Sports destination.
