Princess Cruises will offer a range of additional food and drink options on Crown Princess, one of its Southampton-based ships for this spring and summer. Crown Princess will sail to the Mediterranean and northern Europe from April to September 2017 on seven and 14-night cruises.
Princess introduced the options after asking UK guests to name some of their home food favourites. Guests can now choose from the following, all of which are included at no extra charge, and will be offered alongside Princess’ current international menu choices:
· A curry night once per week with a selection of authentic dishes
· Fish & chips available every lunchtime
· A traditional roast and all the trimmings every Sunday
· A pub lunch on sea days, serving favourites including Lancashire hotpot, Cornish pasties and cottage pie
· Extended breakfast options such as English bangers, back bacon, kedgeree, crumpets and black pudding
· Afternoon tea, including scones, jam and cake, on sea days
· A cup of tea at hand 24/7 via the restaurants or room service
· British tea brands, for example Twinings
· Condiments and spreads including chutneys, Branston pickle, HP Sauce and Marmite
Juices and smoothies, and a wider variety of British beers and ales, will be available to purchase.
In addition, food and drink will be served to mark special occasions and complement screenings of sports events. For instance champagne, Pimms and strawberries will be available during Wimbledon fortnight.
Tony Roberts, Princess Cruises’ vice president UK and Europe, said: “We’re pleased to introduce these little touches so guests can enjoy some of their usual home comforts onboard while still making the most of their getaway at sea.
We’re renowned for our high standard of dining and will continue to offer extensive international menu selections, as well as our British favourites, so there’s something to suit all tastes and preferences.”
