Phulay Bay, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve, the ultra-luxurious sanctuary on the serene shores of the Andaman Sea, has been affirmed as one of the world’s most extraordinary places to stay after it was awarded with three MICHELIN Keys in the MICHELIN Guide’s first-ever selection of outstanding hotels and resorts in Thailand.
The inaugural MICHELIN Key awards were based on the results of anonymous stays or visits by the team of Michelin Inspectors. Only eight properties across the entire kingdom were presented with three Keys, which positions Phulay Bay at the very pinnacle of the hospitality industry.
According to the MICHELIN Guide, three Key hotels are “all about astonishment and indulgence – ultimate in comfort and service, style and elegance.”
“Phulay Bay, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve is a resort whose exquisite tastefulness, from the traditional-style welcome pavilion to the thoughtfully localized interiors of the hotel’s villas and pavilions, to its extravagant spa, has simply amazed the Michelin Inspectors,” the MICHELIN Guide stated.
Part of a highly exclusive collection of Ritz-Carlton Reserves worldwide, Phulay Bay is a haven of luxury and tranquility on Krabi’s tropical shore. With its opulent pool villas, personal butler service, soothing spa, infinity pool and world-class restaurants, all infused with authentic Thai heritage and set in a breath-taking beachfront location, overlooking the Andaman seascape, this is a truly exceptional place to stay.
“We are absolutely thrilled to be recognized with three Keys in the first MICHELIN Key awards for Thailand. The Michelin Inspectors are famous around the world for their uncompromising standards, so to receive their highest honor is a wonderful achievement. This is a testament to the passion, talent and dedication of our Ladies and Gentlemen. We will continue striving to raise the bar for Thai hospitality in future,” said Vidya Sagar, General Manager, Phulay Bay, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve.
Thailand became only the second Asian country, after Japan, to see its hotel industry awarded by the MICHELIN Guide, which reflects the quality of hospitality in the “Land of Smiles”.
