Philippine province of Northern Samar presents two new tourism circuits
This brings the province’s tour circuits to six
The provincial government of Northern Samar in the Central Philippines presented two new tourism circuits focused on agritourism.
The two new offerings, a fun farm tour and a seafood tour, are designed to explore the vibrant agricultural landscape and innovative farming practices in Northern Samar.
According to a statement from the office of provincial governor Edwin Ongchuan: “The development and promotion of tourism circuits is only one of the many initiatives of the provincial government to foster tourism, livelihood, and economic development in Northern Samar.”
Northern Samar’s provincial government previously introduced the Balicuatro Island tour around the towns of San Antonio, Capul, San Vicente, and Allen; an eco-tour of Lavezares and Biri; a river cruise through the towns of Catubig, Las Navas, and Laoang; and the Pacific tour of the towns of Palapag, Mapanas, Gamay and Lapinig, which all face the Pacific Ocean.
The bounty of the land and sea
The fun farm tour covers the towns of Mondragon, Silvino Lubos, San Roque, and Pambujan.
These areas are known for their agricultural bounty, offering guests garden-to-table food tasting experiences, hands-on farming, and food processing experiential tours, as well as homestays.
Meanwhile, the seafood tour covers the towns of San Jose and Rosario, both known for their mud crabs, fresh fish, spider shells, squid, and shrimp.
The seafood tour also offers diving, fishing, food processing, and an ocean-to-table food tasting experience.
