The Peninsula Hotels has teamed up with Imperial Tours, the high-end Chinese tour operator, to offer its guests the chance to experience some of China’s top attractions by private jet.
Under the new “Journey Through China” programme, Peninsula and Imperial have developed a collection of three luxury tours that combine visits to Hong Kong, Beijing and Shanghai, private jet transfers, accommodation in Peninsula hotels, and other activities including helicopter tours and yacht rides.
“China is one of the world’s most coveted travel destinations. The Peninsula’s Journey Through China programme has been exclusively created to provide tailored luxury experiences for guests in each city, while enjoying VIP privileges at The Peninsula hotels in Hong Kong, Shanghai and Beijing,” the hotel group said in a statement.
The three tour options include the 10-day “Culinary Voyage Through China”, which allows guests to taste the dishes and delicacies of China through cooking classes, tea ceremonies and meals in Michelin-starred restaurants, plus a cruise aboard a traditional junk.
The 10-day “Culture & Heritage of China” tour encompasses some of China’s top historic attractions, such as the Forbidden City, Summer Palace, Great Wall of China, with insights into subjects such as calligraphy, contemporary art and architecture and a helicopter ride over Hong Kong.
And finally, the 10-day “Family Tour of China” combines a range of family-friendly experiences including painting classes, pedicab rides, cooking lessons and theme park access in Hong Kong and Shanghai. This itinerary also includes a private boat trip to spot pink dolphins.
Imperial Tours operates the three itineraries using a Gulfstream 450 private jet, while Peninsula will provide accommodation in each of the three cities.
