Just when you think you’ve seen it all, Patch Plant Hotel, a hotel exclusively for houseplants has just opened in London.
Worried about leaving your green buddies as you take your annual vacation? Going on a long work trip and no one will be home to water your plants? In Battersea, London, the world’s first hotel created especially for your beloved plants, has opened its doors.
Patch Plant Hotel is a ‘5-star all-inclusive’ botanicals-only hotel, which offers green residents free treatment from a plant wellness team including a custom hydrations spa. And yes, it’s totally free to book until 5 September 2019, while there will be 100 rooms up for grabs.
“A helping hand”
Freddie Blackett, CEO of Patch, commented: “We all know the crushing disappointment when you return from holiday to find your plant has gone from green lusciousness to a burnt, dry bunch of twigs. We wanted to open the hotel to give a helping hand to the increasing number of ‘plant parents’.”
Patch Plant Hotel can be booked at patchplants.com/plant-hotel — just type in the number of plants to be checked in, plus the arrival and departure dates. Once you’re booked, a team of specialists will make sure your plants stay hydrated and well taken care of while you’re away on holiday.
“The hotel not only saves your plants but your relationships too”
“The hotel is a sanctuary for your beloved plants. They will be in great company and looked after with the respect and love they so richly deserve,” said hotel manager Rose Grower in an interview with House Beautiful. “So many of us have asked a friend or family member to water the plants when we’re away, only to return to disappointment – the hotel not only saves your plants but your relationships too.”
