PATA UK & Ireland welcomes applications in tender for the position of Secretariat
Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) has opened a tender and is welcoming applications from interested parties to register for the position of Secretariat, a potential three-year contract to support the organisation’s committee, board members and PR team.
The UK and Ireland Chapter of PATA has been established since 1962. The organisation currently has a strong membership of over 5,000 people across the UK and Ireland, a community actively engaging in a calendar of annual events including several much loved industry flagship events.
Commenting on the tender Chairman Chris Crampton said: “The chapter has continued to grow and establish itself as a voice of authority and network of support for tourism businesses in the Asia Pacific region. We pivoted successfully throughout the pandemic and maintained a strong activity schedule that ensured suppliers and agents felt supported and informed. As travel rebounds to the region we are looking to engage on an even greater scale and continually evolve the way we inform, inspire and educate our members.”
This exciting and important role includes a variety of trade focused duties and would involve the successful candidate overseeing the running of all the Chapter’s events across the UK and ireland; generating attendance of buyers and/or agents at all events; gaining new members; increasing supplier participants to include PATA events in their marketing plans, managing newsletter communications, social media and overall account management.
