The Gambia Experience has announced that holidays to The Gambia are back with a boom after winter 2017/18 sales being up 22% in comparison to the previous year.
Several properties within the operator’s programme have experienced a much higher volume of bookings over the past year, such as the newly renovated all-inclusive Sunbeach Hotel, which has increased its bookings six times over.
Multi-centres between The Gambia and Senegal have also been proving popular, with Fathala Wildlife Reserve doubling its bookings over the past year.
This follows a positive change in government back in January 2017, where The Gambia entered a new era, with new president Adama Barrow bringing democracy and a promising outlook for the future of the country.
Gill Synnuck, trade relations manager said:
“We’re thrilled that this year has seen such an increase in passengers visiting The Gambia. It shows that people are continuing to embrace this incredible country, which is fantastic. What’s more, with some of our properties proving increasingly popular, it’s been a wonderfully positive year overall for The Gambia.”
